Nutrition

Nutrition and healthy (but delicious!) eating is a hugely important part of life at Fairstead House Nursery.  Our menus are carefully planned and all meals are freshly prepared and cooked each day in the school kitchen.  All our food is supplied locally where possible; our meat is provided by Powters of Newmarket and Spinney Abbey in Wicken. We work closely with parents to ensure that the medical, cultural and dietary needs of children are met. Breakfast is served to the children at 8.00am and a light, healthy snack is provided at 10.00am.  The Foals and Yearlings have lunch in their rooms at 11.45am whereas the Ponies join with Reception and Years 1 – 2 in the Dining Hall.  A high tea is served at 5.00pm.  Fresh fruit and water are available to the children at all times.
